STEP 4:

Transit

Check out our Adoptables or submit a general application to be considered for adoption and set up an interview.

Most of our dogs are still residing in Mexico, most in the shelter and some in foster care. Once the adoption is confirmed, we will arrange to have the dog join a flight with one of our flight parents as quickly as possible, to get them to their new home!

The fees are $790, which include the cost of transportation to Canada, and receiving the dog in good health standing (vaccines up to date, no illnesses, and spayed/neutered.)

Please fill out the application form below and we will be in touch with you!

FAQ
How long can I expect to wait to receive my dog?

It depends! We plan to process your application and complete the interview within one week, depending on your availability for the call. From there, we will work as quickly as possible to get your pup on a plane to head North, however it depends on the availability of the flight parents. We hope that it can be done within one month, however you maybe have to wait more than that for open seats.

What locations can I be in to adopt?

We currently send dogs primarily to Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary, however are able to send to any major city. We do not impose any restriction on where you are in Canada, however you would have to pick up the dog in a major city. If you are able to do that, we are more than happy to have you adopt in any area in Canada!

How do I prepare for my adoption?

We can help coach you on what to prepare, you can speak with your adoption coordinator. They can also let you know what size of collar, and more details on the supplies.

You will need to have the basics for you pet ahead of time:
A crate, food and water bowls, food, treats, a dog bed/blankets, toys (nothing they can choke on), collar, and leash.
You should also have in mind a veterinarian you will use, and it is a good idea to research dog trainers in the area should the need arise, as well as dog car/dog sitting services.
